In this category, voters will be looking for vibrence, heavenly, and dynamic views of tracks aand pit lanes. These photos may be of spectacular sky views or a thrilling capture of the city behind the circut.
Vintage racing cars are any type of car that was made 1930-1970. From the aerodynamic cars of Grand Prix racers to the heavy weight NASCAR box cars, these vehicles represent a pinnicle of motorsport and competition. This category celebrates the ancient beauty and interesting history of vintage cars. Submissions may showcase the interesting details of a meticulously restored classic, or the powerful presence of a popular driver's retired race car. Voters will look for bright colors, sentimental value, and intriguing angles. Though you many not know a lot about this category, most of this comptition is based on look and execution of the photograph. These photographs may be of popular retired cars, a car you or a relitive have built in the past, or maybe a photograph of a car that has bee featured in a museum or local car show.
Capturing a racing driver is like freezing time, showing the high adrenaline of the sport and it's drivers. A driver's unwavering consentration is one of the most interesting things to preserve in a photograph, weather it's in the car ready to race, or coming out of the car after a tough loss. To document a moment where a driver is in his highest mental state, navigating around the track or cheering and celebrating after an extraordinary win, is a great acomplishment and gives a special meaning to the photo. Voters on this category will be looking for elements that make you feel enamored or intrigued, and a display of concentration within a race. A submission may include an intimate moment between two drivers conversing after a tough loss, or a look through the helmet at a driver's focused eyes on the track ahead.
Karting photographs display great youthfulness and raw energy of the young drivers and this thrilling motorsport. Here is where all of the greats start, figuring out how to navigate the track with percision and skill. When capturing a photograph of the intense stakes and high adrenaline of the young kids, make sure to also focus on the karts themselves with their bright colors and dynamic designs.
